Description
Buildings are not the only thing being preserved in Colonial Williamsburg! Williamsburg is also known for their rare breeds program, where they work to preserve the lineage of livestock that were part of the every day life of the Revolutionary City. And the care they take to ensure the animals that work there are well looked after, like these working horses, is also something they take great pride in. In the winter the coats of the horses are shaved to help keep them from overheating when pulling carriages through the Capitol.
