Description
The Tree of Life is a giant live oak in Audubon Park in New Orleans. Named by locals, this impressive tree is thought to be one of Audubon Park's oldest. Massive in size, with a girth of approximately 35 feet and a crown of more than 160 feet, there is ample room beneath its boughs to host a large wedding party. The tree's registered name with the Live Oak Society is the Etienne de Bore Oak. It was No. 13 on Edwin Lewis Stephens' list of 34 original inductee trees when he founded the Live Oak Society in 1934. B&W version.
